Once upon a time …

Mornings with George consist of either a fairytale or nursery rhyme, it’s fab we now have books as we kept forgetting the words to the nursery rhymes. But some of the fairy tales are not very moral so may start making some up.

Then we have playtime, George has a selection of toys recently he appears to be arguing with them and throwing them across the room. He particularly loves Patsy the panda, caterpillar and his musical monkey.

I found myself reading him Winnie the Pooh the other day, crikey that is a strange book, it doesn’t make sense, well Pooh doesn’t make sense. Had to read the page twice to try and understand what I just read. George was feeding at the time and appeared to dose off so guessing he wasn’t bothered.

Although we don’t have a routine as such he appears to sleeping fairly well through the night, there are occasions when especially Saturday night he doesn’t sleep until 1 or 2am and will scream intermittently. Last night when mummy and daddy were getting ready for the next instalement of Game of Thrones, Georgie began to cry, luckily we could pause it and after seating adjustment we were allowed to press play. His eyes were glued to the screen, and then he fell asleep and we could hear baby snores.

It got to a crucial part and in the advert George appeared to be fully asleep, arms and feet swinging, I took him upstairs and tried to gently put him in his cot. Unfortunately his head brushed his new mobile toy and he was awake and started looking around at his new surroundings. Not liking this, he began to whimper, I was torn. Should I leave him and return to watch the end of GOT or maybe read a story???

What would you do??
